ACE’s Educational Mission

Our mission is to provide our students with an outstanding high school education that prepares them equally for careers in the sciences and the humanities.


Our school culture is founded upon the belief that every student is capable of taking on exceptional academic challenges and achieving his or her personal best.


Students will graduate from ACE with the skills, knowledge and confidence to succeed in college and beyond, to become productive citizens, and to contribute their unique talents to their chosen profession.


Academic Program


Core courses

All students will take required core courses in the 9th and 10th grade, that will prepare them for the elective choices in their junior and senior years.


Science Strand Electives

Students most interested in the sciences will choose from a variety of science elective courses such as:

Marine biology

Genetics

Oceanography

Meteorology

Wildlife biology, and others.


Humanities Strand Electives

Students most interested in humanities will choose from a variety of elective courses such as:

Film

Nature writing

Green’ business

Environmental law, and others we develop as the school grows.


Advanced Placement courses

We plan to offer advanced placement courses in:

English, Biology, and Environmental Science

Tutoring in all subjects

Enrichment classes


Advisory Class

Every student is assigned to an advisory class and teacher/advisor. Students remain with the same advisory class and advisor throughout their high school career.


Internships

All  students will complete an exciting internship in a field that interests them and is related to the theme of the school.

Athletic Program

As  part of the South Shore Educational complex ACE students will have the opportunity to try our for varsity and junior varsity team sports such as:

Football

Basketball

Bowling

Soccer

Track

Arts Program

Arts are an important part of students’ lives. Our integrated arts program will bring teaching artists into the classroom to work with students to develop foster their creative expression.
